Log Switching Uncertainty Test

A signal source of known amplitude is connected to the spectrum

analyzer and the analyzer is adjusted for a reference in the 1

per

division log scale. The spectrum analyzer is then switched to each of

the other LOG scales (2

dB,

and 10

dB).

The amplitude of the

signal peak is measured at each setting.
